What Is This Visit?
This visit focuses on setting the stage for a healthy, weed-free lawn this year. We apply a treatment that not only prevents crabgrass from taking hold but also provides essential nutrients to jumpstart your lawn's spring growth, giving you a lush, green start to the season. This treatment also creates a barrier against crabgrass for the upcoming months.
To Make the Service as Effective as Possible
This fertilizer requires light watering during the first 7-10 days, if no rain.
Our Next Visit
We will see you in late April/early May to begin your Spring Weed Control visit. Please let us know if you have plans
Most Commonly Asked Questions About This Service
I plan on seeding this spring, should I still do this service?
No, you should not. This treatment is a pre-emergent herbicide and it will negatively impact your new grass. If you are scheduled for TLC visits this year and plan on seeding in the spring, please contact our team to cancel or post-pone your first visit for Thrive Lawn Care.

My yard has leaves on it, will the fertilizer still be effective?
Yes, the fertilizer is a granular so it will find its way to the roots.
Will this hurt my new grass?
Yes, if you just planted new grass within the past 3-4 weeks, it would stunt the growth of your new immature grass because it is a pre-emergent herbicide layer. For this reason, we recommend fall seeding.
Does the fertilizer have to be watered in?
The morning dew and the light rain is enough to activate the fertilizer. If there is no rain within 7-10 days, please lightly water the fertilizer in.
